ITEMS NEEDED AT TKA:
TKA is always in need of items for the school. As you shop garage sales or stores having clearances, consider looking for some of the following items (donations really help improve the quality of the educational experience and keep costs down):
· Musical Instruments – think of items that elementary students would enjoy playing in a music class
· Lego building blocks – supplements for our computers class (Lego Mindstorm Robotics)
· Brooms and dust pans – in good shape, please
· Snow shovels – in good shape (metal or plastic)
· Leaf rakes – in good shape (metal or plastic)
· Garden Tools and Supplies – hand shovels, planters, hoses and hose reels, variety of spray nozzles, flower seeds, peat pots and other seed starting materials, etc.
· Magazines – suitable to cut out pictures for posters, cards, etc.
· Card Making materials – card stock, ribbon, decorative edging scissors, colored felt and fabric, stamps, stamping ink
·Math and Science supplies – protractors, rulers, pipe cleaners, Styrofoam balls, transparent plastic cups
· Art supplies – drawing pencils, pastels, any Crayola art supplies, oil pastels, good art brushes, acrylic paints, scissors, etc.
-Large cutting board or mat cutter (24"x24' or larger)
·School Maintenance supplies – hammers, screw drivers, scrapers, pliers, corded power drill, corded circular saw, wire brushes, drop cloth
·Commercial (Heavy Duty) Paper Shredder
